Complex Ruskovets is located in the foothills of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains – Pirin.
The natural riches of the mountain and its biodiversity are invaluable.
This was the basis for UNESCO to grant Pirin the status of a national park in 1983 and include it in the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Pirin is also home to Bulgaria’s second highest peak, Vihren, which rises to 2,914 m.

In summer
In the summer you can climb marked numerous mountain trails to peaks, lakes and natural attractions. It is suitable for mountain biking with over 200 km of trails to every settlement in the valley. If you are interested in birds, butterflies, animals or interesting plant species, visit Pirin. There are comfortable places for picnic and recreation.
In winter
The mountain is especially attractive in winter. In Pirin are built 2 ski centers: Bansko, which has the status of a world resort and Dobrinishte, which is attractive for fans of ecotourism and peaceful winter holidays.
Climate
Among the destination’s greatest assets is the region’s unique climate. Winter is snowy, providing the pleasure of skiing, snowboarding, sledding and snowshoeing from December to April. Spring, amazes with its beautiful colours and warm sunshine. The breath of the mountains makes summer amazing with moderate temperatures and plenty of sunny days for beach and sunbathing. Over the years, autumn has made an increasingly unforgettable impression. It drags on like a gypsy summer right up until November.
Dobrinishte
A calmness and rural rhythm can be felt in the life of the town. Residents love their traditions and folk festivals.
Every Saturday from 1 July to 22 September the festival “Dobrinitsa Summer” is organized, where amateur artists from all over Bulgaria and the neighboring countries perform on the stage in the center of the town.
The iconic event every year is the melting of the St George’s Day wristbands. The initiative gathers the fans of folk costumes for a big and colourful dance.
The mineral water is the treasure hidden in the depths of Dobrinishte. The healing mineral water has developed the hotels in the resort town. Unlike Bansko, where large hotels predominate, Dobrinishte offers spa holidays mainly in family hotels and guest houses.

Climate

Festivals and cultural events
Various festivals and cultural events are held in Bansko every year: jazz festival, opera fest, theatre festivals, kuker carnivals, ballet festival, winter film festival and others.
Sports
In the destination Bansko – Dobrinishte – Razlog are built sports facilities, there are conditions for golf and practice cycling, mountain running, horse riding, fishing, football and volleyball, aerobics and sports classes, folk and Latin American dances.
