About the award
On 30.09.2022 Ruskovets Thermal SPA & Ski Resort received the award for “Best Mountain SPA Complex” for 2022. At the award ceremony, the official Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov gave a personal welcome.
The annual awards are an initiative of the K&P Advertising media company, publisher of Destination Bulgaria magazine. The awards are for municipalities, managers, investors and individual tourist sites, and the criteria for selecting the awardees are high results achieved in tourism, sustainability and expansion of market presence, implementation of good practices, professional management and innovation.
About Resort
Ruskovets Resort was established in 2015. The place chosen for the construction of the complex was not accidental. The location is in Dobrinishte, on an asphalted road, only 6 km away from the winter resort of Bansko, on an area of 20 decares at the foot of Pirin, near a pine forest, with a spring of mineral water in the complex itself.
The architects of this wonderful thermal hotel have designed something different from the mass hotels in the Bansko complex. It is of a closed type, surrounded by an openwork fence and with 24/7 live security, which provides security for guests and their children.
The resort consists of a main hotel building, in which there are comfortable one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, the smallest of which has an area of 60 sq.m. Another feature of this incredibly beautiful green complex is that the apartments in the hotel building are in one row and all have a panoramic view of Pirin, without exception. In addition to each apartment, there is a balcony from which you can touch the majestic views and breathe in the crystal clear and fresh mountain air.
In addition to the hotel building, 34 villas of 118 square meters have been built to the resort, each of which has a painted facade and fits picturesquely among the lively green and colorful alleys.
Each villa offers 2 bedrooms, a spacious living room with 2 terraces, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a shower cabin, and a second toilet. Each villa has a fireplace, which creates a unique coziness in winter. Each villa has its own parking space. For the convenience of skiers, there is a heated ski boot locker in the villas, regardless of the fact that the hotel building also has a heated ski locker, as well as hotel parking.
The resort has a classic restaurant with 130 seats, a panoramic pizzeria for 28 guests, a spacious lobby with a bar, a children’s corner, a ski locker and a spa center.
The great asset of the resort is the healing mineral water that feeds the spa center and the pools for adults, with built-in hydro-beds and a separate pool for children.
On a spacious outdoor terrace, 2 wooden jacuzzis for up to 5 people have been built, which work all year round and tempt the bravest to use them even when it is snowing.
In the SPA center you can enjoy not only the mineral water. All natural products are used here, which is part of the philosophy of this beautiful complex. The name Onsen SPA comes from the hot mineral springs in Japan and inspired the hotel’s spa team to combine Eastern philosophy for a healthy lifestyle with classic European spa techniques for relaxation, energy and health.
Here our little guests can play to their heart’s content on an open playground with swings and climbing frames. The children’s club, which is in the hotel building, offers a variety of games under the watchful supervision of professional babysitters. Children often insist to their parents to visit Ruskovets again precisely because of our radiant babysitters. For children, the Baby time service has been developed, which is free services for children, on request.
The resort is also open to pets, who stay with their owners in our spacious villas.

For free time outside the resort
Ruskovets Thermal SPA & Ski Resort is a year-round resort. It accommodates guests for summer recreation, but also skiers looking for relative peace during the winter season.
In the summer, guests of the resort can enjoy the rich cultural and musical program organized by the Municipality of Bansko in the mountain resort. But this does not exhaust the possibilities for free time.
A rope animation park has been built next to the fence of the Ruskovets resort, which offers 21 attractions – rope park, trolley descent, archery, horse riding, climbing an alpine wall.
Hotel Ruskovets in Dobrinishte can be a starting point for hiking or combined with the lifts in Dobrinishte and Bansko mountain routes. Discover the riches of Bulgaria by visiting the Nameless City in the St. Nicholas, the chapel of St. St. Cosmas and Damian on the way to Gotse Delchev hut, monastery of St. Pantaleimon near Dobrinishte, the spring of Srebarna voda. Not far from Dobrinishte are the ethnic villages of Leshten and Kovachevitsa. It is worth going to the village of Dobarsko and the church of St. St. Theodore Tiron and Theodore Stratilatus, where Jesus Christ in a space rocket is depicted. Take a walk to the Baikusheva mura – the oldest tree in Bulgaria and try to wrap it in your arms. Delight your children with a visit to the reserve for dancing bears in Belitsa.
And in winter, indulge in skiing passions with Bulgaria’s most modern ski facilities in Bansko. Ruskovets Resort organizes free transfers to the first station of the lift, from where you go up to the snowy peaks of Pirin on the 75-kilometers slopes.
